McDonald's Canada
Design Brief
As members of the McDonald's design team at Cossette, we develop a wide range of creative assets to support McDonald's Canada in their advertising and marketing campaigns. Our work includes designing visual identities for new menu item launches, creating owned and digital assets such as banner ads, web and app banners, and CRM materials, as well as crafting engaging social media content and microsite designs.I would like to share a curated selection of work examples that highlight some of my favorite McDonald's design projects.
Visual Identity Design
Confetti Cookie Dough McFlurry
McDonald's launched a limited-time Confetti Cookie Dough McFlurry, and I played a key role in designing its visual identity. By incorporating a close-up shot of the McFlurry, we emphasized the rich texture, making it irresistibly craveable. The design combines a playful confetti graphic with a bold headline, perfectly capturing the brand’s light-hearted tone. I also contributed to the food photography, ensuring the product shot was crafted to appear as enticing and “flawsome” as possible.Social Media Design
Summer Road Trip
The Summer Road Trip campaign was a mini social hero initiative aimed at engaging Gen Z fans. Centered around the concept that McDonald's is the essential pitstop on any road trip, the campaign highlighted the key moments of taking a break and refueling with McDonald's. I was responsible for designing a range of visual assets, including creative wrappers, bumper stickers, postcards, in-feed graphics, and Instagram story visuals. The campaign was highly successful, with fans especially thrilled by the surprise bumper stickers.Display Ad Design
Summer Drink Days, Monopoly, McWrap
Display ads are among the most effective tactics in digital marketing. I’ve created numerous banner ads for McDonald's in both English and French, and here are a few examples of my work.Microsite Design
WcDonald's
The McDonald's campaign is a global initiative that embraces anime fan culture and trends within its marketing strategies. We leveraged the visual identity provided by the global team and adapted these assets for the Canadian market, including Cineplex posters, owned assets, social media content, and Amazon banners. Additionally, we developed a dedicated microsite for the Canadian audience, showcasing the four episodes of the anime series, manga content, and character bios.
